  1. So RDN gamers, do you need good graphics for you to be able to enjoy a game or are you more like me who just needs a good soundtrack, awesome story to enjoy the game?

    1. @bowandluna As long as the game plays well, has a great story and okay soundtrack, it's more than enough for me. graphics comes last in my mind.

      1. @prettychrysalisomg good story is all I ask for

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:25:02 UTC from web
        1. @toxicfrost doesn't matter how good the story is if the game is painful to play through.

          1. @prettychrysalisomg true if the control scheme sucks or it's to clunky for me *cough* Simon's Quest *cough, cough* then i ma not play

            1. @toxicfrost Bad controls don't bother me too much but then again the only example I can think of is Kid Icarus uprising and I think the controls are just hard to get used to.

      2. @prettychrysalisomg Alright then, i care more about a games art style than graphics (Most obvious examples are Okami and Xenoblade)

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:25:20 UTC from web
        1. @bowandluna I personally enjoy art style, music, ambiance and the over all fun factor of the game. I typically like games like Odin Sphere, Cave Story and Psychonauts.

          1. @tavi I've never heard of Odin sphere...

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:28:21 UTC from web
            1. @bowandluna It's a really nice and very visually artistic 2D platformer RPG that was exclusive to the Playstation 2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiCzzQFPJpk

    2. @bowandluna Graphics in video games aren't necessarily everything. Considering the fact that one game that has a HUGE following has been in 2D as far as anyone can remember: Pokemon.

      1. @tavi True that~

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:25:53 UTC from web
        1. @bowandluna Oh and who can forget the huge community and following behind Minecraft? That really proves that people honestly don't care about graphics but more on how fun a game can be both socially and gameplay wise. :3

    3. @bowandluna I play games based on how fun they are. Graphics, story, music, etc are nice to have but addictive gameplay is the most important part.

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:25:20 UTC from web
      1. @redenchilada Yeah gameplay IS an important one too. Why did i forget it

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:27:43 UTC from web
        1. @bowandluna Oh and replay factor is a plus as well. :3

            1. @bowandluna My personal favorite replay games are the Mass Effect series, Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Skyrim.

              1. @tavi FALLOUT 3 YESS!! Love that game. Still playing it.

                    1. @toxicfrost In Fallout 3? Not yet. I haven't actually been very far in the game. I've been mostly doing side quests and and exploring to try to get some hidden items and better weapons and armor (especially now that I have all of the expansion packs installed)

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:38:02 UTC from web
                      1. @tavi I have no DLCs but i'll probably buy game of the year edition of Steam just to have it on computer

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:39:26 UTC from web
                        1. @toxicfrost Thats actually the best version of the game to have (especially on PC). If you download the regular version and the expansion packs separately, the main game will glitch out and not give you the right patch for one of the expansion packs. (It's a pretty bad glitch with the PC version of the game)

                          1. @tavi Main reasons for getting it on PC: Better controls (in my opinion) and easier to mod

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:42:27 UTC from web
                            1. @toxicfrost The best reason to get the PC version over the console version: Community made mods and content. :3

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:43:41 UTC from web
                              1. @tavi First mods to get: Pip-Boy redius and any good flash light mod

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:44:52 UTC from web
                                1. @toxicfrost Recommended first mod (in my opinion) the mod that allows you to combine Fallout 3 and New Vegas together into one huge game, with both of the expansion pack sets included for both games. :3

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:47:02 UTC from web
                                  1. @tavi I'll try it out. Thanks!

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:48:54 UTC from web
                                    1. @toxicfrost You're welcome :3

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:51:22 UTC from web
                            2. @toxicfrost By far the best reason to get the PC version instead is that there's actually a mod that fuses both Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas together into one huge game.

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:45:20 UTC from web
                              1. @tavi Be great to have but my computer would probably crash dozens of times.

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:46:42 UTC from web
                                1. @toxicfrost It shouldn't actually. All it does is make the game a lot longer. The worst that can happen is that you run out of room on your hard drive XD

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:48:31 UTC from web
            2. @bowandluna Oh and Fable 1, 2 and 3. (I love games that have multiple endings depending on the choices you make or the quests you accept)

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:36:03 UTC from web
              1. @tavi I haven't played almost any of those games XD only skyrim

Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 07:38:35 UTC from web
                1. @bowandluna If you like Skyrim, Fallout 3 (with all of the expansions) is just as awesome.

                  1. @tavi I want to try out Fallout but I want to try so many games DX

                    1. @bowandluna Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition should be pretty cheap now (Especially if you can find it used at your local game store)

                      1. @tavi I'll check it out later, probably when I'm done with the Super Mario 3D games. Been playing them in order :P
