          1. @redenchilada Even though the software is open source and he could easily have found someone else to take ownership of the servers and day to day administration, he'd rather force them through an upgrade process to a piece of software he's intentionally made incompatible just so he can claim it has a huge userbase. To be honest, "The software isn't designed to work with a /conventional/ webserver" should have been the biggest alarm bell from the get-go.
