    5. @darkw00d it stays true to the show in every way. The point of the show isn't that they're ponies, but that they're friends and they fight for their friendships

    6. @darkw00d Before you saw Friendship is Magic, did it seem like it would be horrible? (But seriously, you should watch it.)

    8. @darkw00d you may like it because it's ponies and other shows aren't ponies, but that isn't what makes the show good. What makes it good is the substance, the humor, the characters, and the adventures they share. They could be rubber duckies with a rubber duckie society. And humans can take you away too if you let them. Also, having humans =/= reality. Is Game of Thrones reality? In spite of Twilight having fingers and using them to fing, it still has the escapist qualities we all love in the stories. This is coming from me, the guy who normally LOATHES the mean-girls plot device that EQG uses. But this movie did it extremely well. If the human thing REALLY gets to you, youre no better than the haters who can't give MLP a shot because of ponies in the first place.

    10. @darkw00d I'm going to put it like this. You are totally allowed to dislike something if you are informed on the subject. The only way to have a valid opinion of how they handle the humany-ness is to watch the movie. It's an hour long. Your impressions of what you think it may be like are based on things that have nothing to do with it. It makes no sense to base your perception of the movie's contents based on your personal experiences in school or on a live action movie that /you think/ has a similar or even the same plot. You just do not know is all, which is not your fault. It's only your fault if you sample the James River to see if there are whales in the Atlantic.

      1. @prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline I'm fairly certain the Potomac River is the only river in the continent.
