@awlderpy I live in the most north-y part of Virginia, which is still pretty Southern. Step outside of city limits and it's a bunch of farmland, trees, and Cracker Barrels.

@vt3c I'm the opposite. I was raised in Michigan and visited South Carolina and Texas for a time. I love the south.

@vt3c Just because you're close to something doesn't mean you reside there though. I'm close to 4 towns but that doesn't mean I reside in all of them.

@awlderpy Yeah. I live in the DC Metropolitan area so it's more developed, but the rest of the state is pretty rural.

@awlderpy Honestly? Depending on what part of the state you live in, Virginia can be very similar to or very different from West Virginia. The mountains pretty much split the state in half.

@awlderpy Before Virginia, I lived in Florida. Specifically Central Florida, which was pretty rural. The town I lived in, Melbourne, was a small town where everybody went to the same elementary school, and we all knew each other. Then after Hurricane Francis we moved to Titusville, which was a little more urban. Daniel Tosh actually came from Titusville. I guess Florida has a knack for churning out offensive comedy, heh.

@awlderpy It's so hard to think of 83 as 30 years ago, you know? Like, I used to always refer to the 80s as "about 20 years ago". But now that refers to the 90s and it's so weird to think about.
