    1. @critialcloudkicker Good morning man. Do ibuprofen work on you?

Tuesday, 03-Sep-13 09:04:10 UTC from web
      1. @nerthos Not in small dosages, and in large dosages I risk serious heart conditions

        1. @critialcloudkicker Oh. Sadly I don't know what would help you then.

          1. @nerthos opioids seem to help

            1. @critialcloudkicker Hmm. Maybe pot, if you get the pains regularly?

              1. @nerthos Pot ? As in Marijuana ? I do not think that is an opioid. Regardless, I have yet to check if that kills my headache.

                1. @critialcloudkicker People seem to focus on marijuana for it's use as a recreative drug, but the truth is, extracts from it have many medical applications.

                  1. @nerthos Yup, many psycholstimulants and antidepressivae medication has THC in them ( or, have reseachers researching the possibility of using them ), I heared that there is even some anti aging/wrinkling creme out there with the stuff.

                    1. @critialcloudkicker It's a shame how many good things are misused and end up being branded as bad when they have so many good uses.

                      1. @nerthos What do you think about the people who smoke MJ recreationally ?

Tuesday, 03-Sep-13 09:29:05 UTC from web
                        1. @critialcloudkicker @vt3c I'm not friendly towards recreational drugs because I believe dimming perception and willingly engaging in any sort of self-destructive to any extent behavior without a good reason is shameful and quite frankly blasphemous, if the word can be used without sounding like a religious zealot. It is completely possible to have fun without drugs. There's no way to justify them. I am OK though with medicinal use of drugs, and closed enviorments in which to allow the consumption and selling of recreational drugs at high prices, with the consumers being controlled by capable staff, as a way of getting funds for other things. I consider that a compromise because it allows people to enjoy them in moderation, keeps them off the street, and also benefits the state as large via the profit made from it.

                          1. @nerthos I can find myself agreeing fully with this. Well maybe not the "You can have fun without drugs" part since those people will just go pick up a few bottles of heavy alcoholic beverages.

Tuesday, 03-Sep-13 09:39:07 UTC from web
                            1. @critialcloudkicker If the state-controlled concentration recreational camps are built, that can serve as the perfect excuse to enforce excruciatingly strong laws for drug and alcohol control. Alcohol though has so big a cultural heritage on our species that it would be stupid and unwise to try to control it too much. The alcohol control could only go as far as keeping people from getting drunk on the streets.

Tuesday, 03-Sep-13 09:42:12 UTC from web
                              1. @nerthos So effectively you are saying that you are against the recreational use of MJ yourselves ( As with alcohol and perhaps even regular smoking ) But you think it is downright dumb and stupid to arrest anyone who is not disturbing the peace ?

Tuesday, 03-Sep-13 09:45:32 UTC from web
                                1. @critialcloudkicker No, I'm saying that it'd be OK to arrest people using drugs and alcohol publically and impose heavy taxes and jail/work time. If a real desire to do so surfaced you could just pay and use the proper installations. But I'm also saying that you can't ban alcohol, because it's so deeply rooted in human culture that any attempt at doing more than keeping it from disturbing the peace would backfire horribly.

                                  1. @nerthos HAH, and here I was almost confused by your anarchistic nature to the problem :) Good thing I was wrong.

Tuesday, 03-Sep-13 09:51:40 UTC from web
                                    1. @critialcloudkicker I totally despise anarchy. You can bet good money on me always supporting an ordered solution.

Tuesday, 03-Sep-13 09:52:32 UTC from web
                                      1. @nerthos I do not think you can find order in fundamental changes to any negative percieved change in how people use psychoactive substances ( Booze, MJ, opioids, shrooms ) And any other form of homemade concoction. Well at least in the short term. On the long term people of the western world will see everything they do enjoy or like being taken away by the govnerment of their or of another country... Pretty sure that Edward Snowden and that NSA stuff is just the start phases of trying to get the Internet to the feet of govnermental bodies. *shrug*. Am I going to be happy with a place where you can live in peace with heavy strict rules on what you can and can't do ? Ofcourse I am going to be, sadly I am well aware that there are flaws in every system.

Tuesday, 03-Sep-13 10:00:13 UTC from web
                                        1. @critialcloudkicker That's the problem with so many new issues surfacing, it forces us to make stricter rules to keep everything in check. I'd love a society in which the only rules are "don't kill, don't steal and don't harm without reason" but it's not possible by any means without divine intervention, which in all reality is just control^10. It'd be just like a really strict govenment, with the difference that we'd be completely unable to defend ourselves.

                                          1. @nerthos Oh and we totally trust other people enough to put blind justice upon one and another, because they will never be biassed to make the wrong assumptions ( assumptions which can lead to wrong accusations ) ... I think I should be glad when I think that will never happen

              2. @nerthos they are very irregular and have been classified as "cluster headaches" ... Today's one is not bad in any way shape or form though. Why do I know that ? I can tolerate sitting behind my computer, I do not have blood soaked eyes, and I do not feel the urge to rip them out with my bare hands.

            2. @critialcloudkicker By which I mean the oils derived from it, which have the painkilling and relaxing effects without the narcotic effect.

    2. @vt3c That's what I meant by marijuana oils.
