  1. Well, I'm not in jail, the judge gave us a two week adjournment so we can both speak to lawyers...

    1. @colfax that is great. But what happened?

      1. @mushi Just that, she said she wanted my stuff out of the apartment anf for the restraining order to stwnd, which would show up anytime someone did a background check on me, like for a job or something, I'd like to avoid that, so he gave us 2 weeks to find lawyers

        2. @colfax ugh.. lawyers. I'd be afraid of the cost, but if it means you can work more easily then that's good.

          1. @pony I'd get, at most, an hour to get my stuff out of the apartment.

            1. @colfax It seems like all the lawyers I know are the wrong kind of lawyer to actually help if I were ever to get into some sort of trouble.. except one I guess.

    2. @colfax I guess that's good news.

      1. @pony I can't afford a lawyer or get my stuff out of the apartment by myself, I'm alone here...

        1. @colfax I don't suppose you can get a public defender? I'm not sure if you can obtain one for a civil dispute, which is what this sounds like.

          1. @awlpony Best I can hope for is to stumble across a lawyermloking to do pro-bono work... in othernwords, not bloody likely.

            1. @colfax Yeah I was just thinking maybe pro-bono, which I'm sure you could find, although such scheisters. Who knows, it may work out. I'm not sure how civil disputes usually go, whether they become one-sided or not; depends on the case. To me, her actions sound completely un-warranted so you could have a good case, but I'm no lawyer.

              1. @awlpony No matter what, I'll be in the wrong since I'm a guy and she's making claims of domestic voilence.

                1. @colfax Oh that just figures. Sounds like the odds are not in your favour but I seriously hope they can turn around for you, at least just once, at least in this. You're in a real papaya situation which I'm sure I don't have to remind you of, but if it helps, we are here and we care. Yeah, sounds cheesy but it's true.

                  1. @awlpony As sad as it sounds, right now you lot are just about the only thing helping me stay sane... or as close to it as I can manage

                    1. @colfax Oh that doesn't sound sad at all as I've had that feeling once or twice already, albeit different circumstances. Im glad to hear at least we can do something to your benefit, no matter what.
