  1. Yay! I got Princess Luna! And, because she comes bundled, Sunburnt Princess Celestia. Furthermore, I noticed that the package says "Ages 3+" with - this is important! - NO maximum age. Take that, haters. Nopony is too old for the magic of friendship... Of course, 2 is evidently too young... I guess those under 3 just haven't developed emotionally yet in order to make those connections. Or something. http://ur1.ca/4xnhw

    1. @scribus Is Luna at least the right colour?

      1. @leonkfox Does "glittery" count as a color?

      2. @leonkfox Doesn't look like it from the picture. I don't recall Luna being so lavender. Nor having streaks of baby blue in her mane and tail, for that matter. Seems to be about par for the creative license they're taking with these toy designs and colorations vis a vis their on-screen counterparts, though. (And I have to giggle at @scribus for "sunburned Celestia". Never heard it described as that before. That is funny!)

        1. @astra I've got one of those sets as well, and Luna is definitely more lavender/ purple than she is blue. As for sunburned Celestia/"Pinkista" have you seen the comic where Celestia gets poison joke?

          1. @eaglehooves Hee! Yes, I've seen that one. The one where Luna is also invisible, yes? But, yes, I'm familiar with the pink Celestia issues. I've just never heard it called "sunburned Celestia" before. Considering her relationship with the sun, it just struck me really funny.

            1. @astra Yea. There's also one that was kind of good where Celestia and Luna see their respective toys and send Hasbro to the moon. As for the sunburn, I had heard that one before, but never thought about her connection. That's even funnier now.

              1. @eaglehooves Oooo, I don't think that I've seen that one! Might have to hunt around for it when I get home.

                  1. @eaglehooves Hee! Thanks for the link! Was able to use it to grab it on my phone. (Have to keep my pony-related activities to a minimum on my work computer.) That was cute. :)

        2. @astra Yeah, I refuse to buy any FiM merchandise as of now, too expensive for how poor it is ,lol =P And sunburnt Celestia is indeed a pretty funny description XD

          1. @leonkfox Same here. If they start coming out with toys that aren't cheap crap that looks like it came from a pirate knock-off company AND actually look like the characters on the shows, hey, I'll be there, bank card in quivering hoof. Given Hasbro's track record in that regard over the years, though, I'm not expecting it to happen.

            1. @astra Same :( But if it does, I'll be all over it! :D

    2. @scribus I wonder if there actually is any basis to that claim. that would actually be interesting.

      1. @nightwillow The < 3yo. emotion thing? I think so, # believe that's part of the cause of "infantile amnesia," the general inability to remember much from about 4~5 or so.

        1. @scribus interesting.

        2. @scribus It's 3+ years old because kids younger than that can choke on crowns and things, you muffin.

          1. @thelastgherkin I know, I know, but I'd already declared that because of the packaging nopony was too old for friendship and--wait, muffin? I'm not sure how to take that.

            1. @scribus How do you usually take muffins? Hot sauce?

              1. @thelastgherkin Nah, that's more for cupcakes. I guess with muffins I tend to just eat them as they are, or maybe with some cream cheese.

                1. @scribus I nearly called you "nitwit" or "dum-dum", but I realised they were too harsh. Am I nice person?

                  1. @thelastgherkin You most certainly are. ^_^ Nicest pickle I've ever known, even.

                    1. @scribus That's a bit of a backhander. How many other pickles do you know? :O

    3. @rotation No idea. Up close, Celestia even looks like she has a sinister smirk.

      1. @scribus Disregard that. Our kind and benevolent ruler is devoid of all the darker emotions. Long live Princess Celestia.
