@widget But it's demonstrative of the kind of stuff that can accidentally happen there. Maybe autofill the group page with "join group" instead of "!group" if the user hasn't joined it? Or maybe something like "join!group" and have a plugin to automatically join the group if it finds that, while still letting the notice through. Or something.
-
@widget That may cause some people to join groups they don't really want to join.
-
@widget It might be better to make it automatic, actually. If only there was a way to inform people to join groups before posting to them...
-
@widget I have a similar issue on the other site, though it's not as prevalent as on here.
-
@widget idk if there even is one for missouri XP
-
@widget oooh, now i get it xD

@Widget should make an Adeptus Mechanicus OC.

@widget Fine.
-
@widget That's cheating when I have direct access to the PHP
-
@widget Possibly a structure of [ Home | Rules | Staff | Search [People | Notices | Groups] | Links [Roleplay | Meetups | Invite] | {Mod Tools [{Admin} | Banned | Deleted]} ] | [ <username> [Personal | Inbox | Replies | Settings | Connect] | Logout ] ?
-
@widget How about we put them in the Links menu and move the other stuff out? That way they're still up there but they're not taking up horizontal space.
-
@widget Meetups, maybe. But the roleplay network is a completely different site. I'm trying to put what the user will need to find quickly and often up there, and I can't see those particular links getting a whole lot of use for the amount of space they take.
-
@widget For example, currently Links only holds Staff (I think that can be safely put inside a menu - feel free to disagree) and Invite. I was thinking of putting Help in there too (whether the default help or a custom page like the welcome page). I am trying not to abuse the menus for everything, though.
-
@widget Why don't we use the links section in the sidebar for offsite links i.e. EquestriaRP and the meetups page? I do get the reasoning behind not wanting everything hidden behind menus, though. I was considering using it for, say, putting the different search types in the main navbar and stuff. The layout currently in the repo is /heavily/ WIP too, by the way.

@widget I'll still look into what you said, but since I thought of this, is this an acceptable solution? Or is it too hacky? http://ur1.ca/d3xjg

@widget I'll look into it, then...
-
@widget I guess? I was trying to keep it as a plugin for the sake of an easy on/off toggle, but that might work too. I'll play around with it later.
-
@widget ...But I'm overriding the default nav... I could call onEndWhatever manually, maybe?
-
@widget Horror stories.
-
@widget Not at the moment. I was gonna klutz it together and just add them manually, but feel free to try a better solution if you have one.
-
@widget I think it suppresses those... I have it return false, anyway, so it overrides the usual navigation.
-
@widget Yeah, it's commited.
-
@widget ...Oh. "Compile the locales".
-
@widget There doesn't seem to be an option in the locale for it... setting "Account"'s msgstr to "Settings" does nothing on my end.
-
@widget Bluh bluh. I'll change it then. :c
-
@widget Settings is Account. It's a more descriptive name. At least, I think so...
-
@widget Surely Picasso's cubist phase is comparable to this guy's homegrown whacking material.
-
@widget No. :/ I don't think.
