@gingersnap360 okidoke.. so IE is not an option if you want to use either of the refresh scripts. You could use an auto-refresher for IE, but I don't think that's a good idea unless you really hate clicking or hitting F5. If you can get Chrome or Firefox those are your best bets, but I understand that's up to your sister since it's her computer. :P Well.. Sorry I couldn't be much help.. Maybe the creator of !Mintrefresh @minti wouldn't mind looking into making his script compatible with Trixie, but that's probably a low priority right now to say the least.
-
@gingersnap360 well, it looks like the script is incompatible with Trixie in any case.. I'm sorry about that.. next I'll try RDNrefresh. I'll let you know whether that works
-
@gingersnap360 ok.. once installed I think we'll need to try installing Mintrefresh again.. lemme double check that it works
-
@gingersnap360 i'll do it along with you. I've only read about it. It'll be good to get some experience.

@gingersnap360 Trixie's download site is here.. http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,71760-order,4-c,browsersclients/description.html Unless you're attached to IE I recommend intstalling Google Chrome plus the Tampermonkey add-on. It's much faster for most ponies.
-
@gingersnap360 I think you're missing the first digit. If it's a version of IE 8 or 9 then you can install Trixie which is like Greasemonkey for Internet Explorer. Before installing Mintrefresh you have to install Greasemonkey or something similar to it so that your browser can run the script to refresh RDN. Does that make sense?
-
@gingersnap360 okay. Can you check your version of IE? it should be under Help > About IE or something similar
-
@gingersnap360 which browser are you using and what did you try to install?
-
@gingersnap360 it wont reload any tab entirely technically.. it only effects the RDN tab if open. :)
-
@gingersnap360 I use RDNrefresh only because Mintrefresh hasn't got the in context links figured out yet.. unless I've missed an update. Otherwise, Mintrefresh is faster.
-
@gingersnap360 :D Happy to help!
-
@gingersnap360 no problem! Also, if you get tired of refreshing, I recommend the Greasemonkey (Firefox)/ Tampermonkey (Chrome) plugin with either the RDNrefresh script or Mintrefresh script. Both will auto-load new "dashes" (notices). http://rainbowdash.net/group/rdnrefresh http://rainbowdash.net/group/mintrefresh
