  1. @thepuzzldpirate !vancouverbronies Barnet Marine Park is another option that is less busy than Jericho or Kits beach. Also, it is reachable by the 160 bus. http://goo.gl/maps/v8mT

  2. @spectrumflash !vancouverbronies Yeah, it started out as Vancouver only, but there are Victoria Bronies too and some in the interior. Maybe BC is a better bet.

  3. @mcbrony !vancouverbronies I'll start the planning with you by finding and agreeing on a good location. Transit is the key.

Tuesday, 29-May-12 23:43:26 UTC from web in context
  4. @spectrumflash !vancouverbronies Oh wow! Let's get a Vancouver Bronies forum up and running on a critter.net domain then!

Tuesday, 29-May-12 23:34:46 UTC from web in context
  5. @afancorp !vancouverbronies It's the Bamboo Cafe just across from Joyce Skytrain station. Remember to buy something from the cafe as a courtesy. A can of pop is enough, it doesn't have to be much.

  6. !vancouverbronies Don't forget, those attending this Saturday's meetup will need to help in planning our Cos & Effect Pinkiequest.

  7. @balthazar !vancouverbronies It's all about transit accessibility, not all of us drive. Weather is another factor too.

Tuesday, 29-May-12 01:38:42 UTC from web in context
  8. @yeah568 !vancouverbronies It might be better that we have a dedicated domain name and server to run the forum. If most of you won't mind, critter.net is a good domain/hosting service.

Tuesday, 29-May-12 00:46:03 UTC from web in context
  9. @balthazar !vancouverbronies Yes, this is exactly what we want to avoid. Planning specifically on Facebook leaves out those people that don't have/want Facebook accounts.

  10. !vancouverbronies @echron1000 did the blogspot site and we basically abandoned it after we settled that Saturday was the meetup day from then onwards. http://vancouverbronies.blogspot.ca/ We still need a forum. Anyone know how to run a SMF Forum? The code for it is supposedly free, you just need to run it on a server.

  11. @seanprice !vancouverbronies I guess it's not being updated. Honestly, a forum (that we own) works better for actual meetup stuff/planning. I know for a fact the local fur community has their own forum where they plan tons of stuff not usually publicly known.

  12. !vancouverbronies and just as I posted that, through a youtube search I also found TwiQuest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3vUE30lVEk

  13. !vancouverbronies Vancouver PINKIE/RARITYQUEST at Cos & Effect from August 24-26th it is! The Plan: To do exactly (and maybe more of) what PINKIEQUEST in Seattle did for PAX a while back, except here in Vancouver. We will need 2 giant printed out versions of Pinkie Pie and Filly Rarity with her horn dragging her to her destiny and we will do this for a whole day on the UBC grounds at Cos & Effect this year. To those unfamiliar with the Seattle PINKIEQUEST, see this Youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IY9eyuZ7oE

Monday, 28-May-12 02:21:45 UTC from web
  14. @bronymike !vancouverbronies So, I guess Cos & Effect would be a better place to do a Vancouver PINKIEQUEST or something similar. The PNE doesn't have as much walking room as UBC does, and it's the association thing.

Monday, 28-May-12 02:04:33 UTC from web in context
  15. !vancouverbronies Ok, scaling back, thinking about the PNE meetup, a more tame version of the PINKIEQUEST in Seattle might be something we want to attempt in addition to the suits. Any ideas?

Monday, 28-May-12 01:23:52 UTC from web
  16. !vancouverbronies Sorry guys, as of right now, this idea is dead again and remains just another wild thought in my head.

Monday, 28-May-12 01:06:04 UTC from web
  17. !vancouverbronies Dead in the water again... 2nd time I've tried to organize it and it falls flat. If the two major organizers of the group disagree, there's no way we can get enough participation. I blame both the British tourism bureau and that live lipdub for me getting trying to get this back up and running. Heck, they had a IRL PINKIEQUEST in Seattle a while back.

Monday, 28-May-12 01:04:33 UTC from web in context
  18. @bronymike It's the one thing I can't get organized properly at the moment. Too many ifs, ands, and buts.

Sunday, 27-May-12 06:13:50 UTC from web in context
  19. @balthazar !vancouverbronies Most of the people decided to go to the paintball thing I'm assuming. there were only 4-5 core people left in the end. Next week might be bigger, IDK.

Sunday, 27-May-12 06:08:21 UTC from web in context
  20. @balthazar !vancouverbronies I've personally wanted to do one for quite some time, then the idea came that we should plan it for the same day as the Season 3 premiere. Nothing is locked yet on that as I might have to talk to a few people about it.

Sunday, 27-May-12 05:35:18 UTC from web in context
  21. !vancouverbronies Preferably, the flash mob should happen the same day as the Season 3 premiere screening, those participating can then head directly to the screening.

Sunday, 27-May-12 00:24:14 UTC from web in context
  22. !vancouverbronies To those at the cafe meetup, this is what I envision our brony steadicam flash mob at Crab Park to be similar to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc1D7ZaQ51s

  23. @bronymike !vancouverbronies Better yet, if anyone has a GoPro, BRING IT! That's for sure going to get good video of the place.

Saturday, 26-May-12 08:44:50 UTC from web in context
  24. @crusader !vancouverbronies Those going to paintball will be, but there are people not going to that. I know the people playing Magic might stay a while longer.

Saturday, 26-May-12 06:58:14 UTC from web in context
  25. !vancouverbronies BTW, since EQD derped on getting the rest of the photos up, those attending the meetup tomorrow will see a short video of the photos with @bronymike's video for those that haven't seen it.

Saturday, 26-May-12 04:41:01 UTC from web
  26. @balthazar @bronymike !vancouverbronies Just don't film the staff and other patrons. For my news story that was the 1st unwritten rule that I followed.

  29. @bronymike I have to say that your number one threat is websites like Squarespace, since they offer both the software and the hosting. Wysiwyg editing isn't much help neither.
