!yorkshirebronies @mattus701 @klayking Hmm, I was kinda expecting something like that, they have to cover their flanks, after all. If we wanted to get a showing going, university facilities might be a better shot. The impression I've had (at least from Sheffield university) is that they've got more of a 'plausible deniability' policy: they don't want to know what you're doing with the auditorium, and it's on you if you get into trouble ; ) Aside from an actual auditorium, booking a lecture theatre to get access to the projectors in there would be a good alternate solution. That said, I think UoS only books out to societies, but it might be that they book out to any student with the cash for the fee. No idea what other uni's policies might be.

@trister well I'd assume that if we had somewhere to stay, we wouldn't necessarially need to eat out. Though people can if they like. It may well not be feasible though, unless we find a lot of people! And @klayking - I think it would be better to know the costs first before we even start deciding what is reasonable =3

@klayking I'm not against using the function room, I'm just warning that it might be hard on the wallets of some of us, my total costs for the day were somewhere in the region of £66 what with my train tickets and a taxi home once I was back in Boro
-
@klayking It would indeed be awesome, but the problem is that it is likely to cost rather a lot... probably more than the last meetup cost us (i believe collectively it was over £200 not including shirts

!yorkshirebronies @klayking York would be fine by me, but who else can make it is a significant factor. If it's not ideal then there's no reason we *cannot* do Leeds again if more people can make it that way. I put myself on the map - and google maps has an integrated short URL feature, so this should hopefully also work if you want to trim that beast down a bit: http://g.co/maps/zqusk

@klayking !yorkshirebronies I have family in York, I can see if they know of any function rooms. It might be a few days before I can speak to them though, I'll keep you posted

@klayking why not just get a map of yorkshire and put numbers over the towns?
-
@klayking my second!
-
!yorkshirebronies @klayking we couldn't have done that anyway as it happens - I had a look when I was buying MLP magazine in there - it wasn't a big enough Morrisons and and didn't have any, unless I missed them somehow. Honestly this is probably just as well because I would hate to imagine the carnage that could ensue from 20 lustful bronies all fighting to get their hooves on numbers 7 and 11 (Rainbow Dash and Big Mac). Love and tolerance go out the window =P
-
@klayking why the hell did we not think to look in morrisons...
-
@klayking !yorkshirebronies Sure, link to google docs folder for the meetup photos: https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/108525906259480342403/albums/5702828558829815489 and I've been told that you can't access those without a google account, so they are now on photobucket as well: http://s782.photobucket.com/albums/yy104/tornadotrist/Leeds%20Brony%20Meetup/

@klayking No access to printer here, but I see some others have. Yesterday I checked the blind bags at my Morrisons, but those were not the same bags I think....

@klayking !yorkshirebronies printing a copy now

@klayking yay

@klayking ey up bud, bad news im afrad....kind of, my self and laurel (marasuya) will be meeting up with yuo guys at 11 but im afraid we wont be in for the meal and bowling, we just dont have the cash :(.
-
@klayking She told me that the only extra charges were based on printing on extra sides. They don't explicitly say there's digital printing but some of their own designs have gradients such as all of their stock animal designs, so they must have to be able to do those. Putting any random image on the designer seems to give me normal prices too.
-
@klayking Hmm, got on the phone with them this morning. They do digital prints too, so colours aren't as limited as the site suggests. And ordering to collect in store still costs shipping - likely because of the head office -> store delivery you mentioned, but at that point it'd cost a little too much for my liking. Ah well, guess I'll pass. I still have one shirt, just wanted another :)
-
@klayking is there a "handmade burger company" by any chance in leeds? that place is awsome! a proper restaurant not a fast food place
-
@klayking So I could get a shirt on the day, but I'd need to email the design to them, like... Now?
-
@klayking Lolwut? I thought shirts were printed instore there and then?
-
@klayking yeah i studied in Bradford and worked at the manorhouse museum in ilkley for a year :P
-
@klayking man i hate technology, ey up mate, just a hello to say im gonna be allong as well, think marusya already mentioned that though, your profile is making me miss ilkley :P

@klayking Wow, and I thought we were bad where I live, we have five with no more than a five minute walk between any of them. We used to have six but one closed down, apparently that's a little excessive
