  6. @libbylishly !vgp Come to think of it, with all of the tools that have popped up for Brawl hacking lately, I don't think it would be unrealistic to say hacking AppleJack or another pony into Brawl can happen.

  7. @libbylishly Bella made a new tier in Mary-Sueness; it's called "Bella Sue".

  8. @libbylishly "as a general rule, people don't read fanfics to read about the adventures of people's OCs in a well-known universe, especially if it's clearly just a wish-fulfillment creation for the writer." This. :3 Yeah, you got what I was getting at.

  9. @libbylishly actually I think Bella is the gold standard of Mary Sue. See also Oatmeal's review of Twilight. (Oatmeal? Twilight? Jeez...)

  11. @libbylishly One thing that's bittersweet about one of my current professors is that he will remember to email everyone the homework if he forgets to assign it. It's kinda unfun as there's no excuse to not have looked at the homework. But it's kinda awesome since the homework is pretty much a study guide for whatever the exam will be, so going out of his way to show it to us is essentially going out of his way to keep up up-to-speed for the upcoming assignments.

  12. @libbylishly Wow, that's kinda awesome. XD I find it amusing that most of my professors who love their subject have the issue of being sidetracked into passionately pursuing a related-but-not-quite-related question if you ask it right after they cover a similar enough subject. It happens the most with my math and physics professors. !college

  13. @libbylishly I'd agree with that. I've seen Fluttershy, Twilight, and Dash all been labeled as Mary Sues. REALLY? They all gave such definite and developed personalities, I don't know how anypony could pull that term unless they had no idea what it meant.

  14. @libbylishly I had a professor that was basically a robot when I tried to make up lost transfer credit for a required communications course. I'm pretty much grateful for any professor that can understand what I'm saying and talk back, now. (But yeah, sometimes sidetracking turns into crazy LOL moments.)

  15. @libbylishly People are calling the owl a Mary Sue? Man, even on the internet I don't get out enough...

  16. @libbylishly ENGL 1102. It's pretty much a class that most freshmen are expected to take ASAP, so the guy's relatively forgiving in comparison to some of the other professors I've dealt with. But the professor I've got this time is fairly scatterbrained, too. So if I want to pick up new tricks, I have to look for them in other people.

  18. @libbylishly Yep, I think it'll be okay. XD If nothing else, it's good reason for me to get an early start on this final essay thingy. I'm still not very confident, but since we're done reading new stuff, I have a relatively good idea of things that I can pull a lot of thoughts from and things that I lock up on. I can get pretty far by questioning diction and perspective choices, actually. :D (Kinda wish I had known that when I first started the class, but so it goes.)

  20. @libbylishly If you write this, I'll probably give it a fair chance. I can't make any promises about reading it, but since one of the first fanfics I ever read and liked was a !Sonic fic, I'm pretty curious.

  21. @libbylishly In the end, I did try. It was half of the required length, and will likely be 0 for missing submission criteria, with a 2.0 at best if the professor's feeling particularly generous when he grades it. !college (The lesson here is: Double check your syllabuses every other day so that important turn-in dates don't slip by unnoticed. )

  22. @libbylishly @chaosmagic basil34's stream. Last week it had more than 900 viewers I'd provide a link to it, but lolphone is being slow and not very cooperative. Ask Google :) or hang out here.
