  2. @luminosity What's with the ooc tag? This isn't an rp site; there shouldn't be an in-character mindset.

  4. @luminosity We agree in the old fashioned "everyone with his own tastes" and we call it a deal.

  7. @luminosity A whip ruins if it's left in wet conditions, a sword can last millenia if done of the right material or properly stored. We can find unrelated stuff all day.

  8. @luminosity But it will never bend completely to your will, and that's what I was aiming at.

  9. @luminosity Lol. I made it because you can control XP at will, but you have to get used and follow 7.

  10. @luminosity It's funny how we completely missed the original point and starting discussing ancient weapons.

  11. @luminosity You're just now talking about personal skill. A whip is an impractical combat weapon because it requires a lot of skill to use, lots of free space around the user, and a friendly enviorment. A sword you can even use inside a small room.

  12. @luminosity I've bled to death on numerous occasions.

  13. @luminosity I'm not a swordmaster yet. And it's only a game of ranges. The whip could be slowly cut or entangled to something using the enviroment.

  14. @luminosity Exactly- it requires skill. It requires a LOT of skill. Which is why catwoman uses it- her opponents will not have the skill to use it because they're unlikely to have received any training with its use.

  15. @luminosity Swordmasters can stop arrows aimed at them with a sword. Proven fact, recorded on video multiple times. Beat that.

  16. @luminosity The reason catwoman uses a whip is because it requires so much training to be effective with. She uses it specifically so no one can use it against her.

  17. @luminosity Yeah, but we're comparing two weapons on the same field. If we're going into that then we should all switch into linux because it's like a gun in a knifefight.

  18. @luminosity I'm not a privacy nut, but I'd rather my browser keep something private if I _tell it_ to keep something private.

  19. @luminosity That's a MOVIE. You honestly have no proof or even idea of what you're saying, have you?

  20. @luminosity "experience" So what were you doing? Clicking all the free iPad advertisements? Because I've never had problems with Firefox. Plus FF doesn't send your private browsing info to Google.

  21. @luminosity A year, on the places I was, it's not luck. It's simply not being idiotic enough to click things that are obviously a trap.

  22. @luminosity I have no clue where you heard that.

  23. @luminosity No, I want you to name an event when a whip was sucefully used on a real combat enviorment aganist other weapons. They are weapons, that's true. They can hurt. But so does an edged spoon, but noone in their right mind would use it in combat.

  24. @luminosity I genuinely lost all respect because of that phrase. I browsed 4chan and sites of that ilk for about a year without an antivirus, on XP, and with the firewall half the time off, and NOTHING. HAPPENED.

  25. @luminosity They're both fictional characters. Tell me of a real warrior who did in a battle or something. And Zorro doesn't count.

  28. @luminosity Yes, he used one. But did he used it for proper combat? No, he didn't.

  29. @luminosity It does more, but by it's own will. Like a state of the art car, compared to a 70's one. The computarized system does more than the symple mechanics, but you can't just open up and fix easily, and doesn't allow you to do stuff it considers dangerous or not porper.
