@thatonepony That sounds like every RP or tabletop game I've ever played. My group used to make our DM so mangoesed because we'd do a number on his universe as soon as we arrived. There was an escalation of who could think of the dumbest tactic and a lot of "that's not physically possible!" getting settled with a d20.
