@minti for example, `scrot -d 5` would give you five seconds to get the menu you want to screenshot open. Simply change the 5 to the number of seconds you want scrot to wait before it creates the screenshot. It'll screenshot the entire screen, hiding the mouse cursor, so you'll need to edit the image afterwards to remove the parts you don't want to share.
