  1. @derpyshy Torandoes only form in the 'flat' part of America because of the warm moist air raising from the gulf of mexico and mixing with the cold dry air sinking from the north. Essentially we are just simply caught in the middle. A mountain will not stop a tornado. Kansas is not completely flat, there are quite a lot of hills actually. Also Colorado gets tornadoes all the time and it has a lot of mountains.
