    @bitshift ~/.vimrc: au BufNewFile *.css read ~/.vim/skel/css # You could do this for other file types too. X/HTML is a good candidate just because it has so much boilerplate. One quirk is that it inserts the file below the cursor, so you end up with a blank line at the top of the file. Currently investigating how to fix this.
