!movies "Kung Fu Panda 2" - I haven't really seen the first one, and that wasn't a problem. The action was fun, the characters likeable and amusing (I get the feeling there's better development in part 1). The story was solid and while it was within the reach of the young target audience, it seemed more relevant to an older crowd. I especially appreciated the blend of different animation styles for flashbacks, and one time they defied their own convention to spectacular effect. Good times were had, manly tears were shed, but I doubt I'll buy it when it's released.
