    @widget I'm thoroughly familiar with the history and culture surrounding his Inferno and aware that it's not canon. I was just commenting that some, including Dante and myself, believe thought and emotion to be inextricably bound to one another. Said philosophy is most clearly manifest in the 3rd part of Dante's Divine Comedy. First is Inferno, second is Purgatory, third is Paradise.
