@zeeraw Developing a codebase, dealing with security holes, etc is quite a task, though, and if there's something already out there that does most of what you want, it's much less effort to go from there and just fill in the holes. Plus, established codebases typically have an established support community ready to help with any issues, while you're on your own if your home-grown codebase isn't working right. Don't get me wrong, though; each approach has its upsides and downsides, and deciding which way to go is entirely dependent on the situation, the needs, etc.
