@pony one thing I find interesting about the zombies in The Walking Dead is that they still move and such despite their heart stopping and their flesh supposedly rotting. It should follow that, if the flesh rots, so should the nerves, so then if it's really the infected brain controlling the body by its own nerve endings and musclular tissue, then it shouldn't be possible for the zombie to last longer than it takes them to rot to the point that the nerve tissue is damaged. That should happen very quickly, but in this story it either doesn't happen (perhaps the rotting we see is superficial, but that's doubtful), or else, more likely, it doesn't matter whether the tissue is rotted and non-functioning because the zombie infection doesn't rely completely on the human nervous system. #readingintoittoomuch
