@foxgopher Fun fact: Herpes was treated like a regular old cold sore until a medicine company found a medicine for it cold sores. Thing is, no one wanted to treat cold sores cause it wasn't a big deal. So they invented a horrifying name and said it was a horrifying VD so their product would sell.
