@bronycharge In games like BF and NS the commander mode is a simple overhead view of the whole map or region and you make split second desisions based on what is information is fed to you ( in the case of NS games, you also have a bit of basebuilding going on ). Whether it is to go attack that foe lurking around the corner, pressing the objective, falling back, using base-resources to rid yourself of a problem ( In Battlefield 2, 2142, Vietnam, and some others you had EMP bombardments, artillery strikes, supply drops and/or vehicle drops in your arsenal ) ( In Natural Selection you have the ability to scan an area for hostiles, and/or call in siege cannons ) ... TLRD; You have an overhead view of the map all the players are playing on like a proper first person shooter and give them commands
