@redenchilada Yeah, I watched the first two episodes a few months ago and generally got the same vibe. The writing and characters really weren't anything special, even for a "kid's show", but the designs were pretty great and it had some strong animation so I was thinking of checking out some more of it in the future to see if it would grow on me.
