@delores Not likely. Some probably did but barely any. They had to dedicate almost every waking hour to survival so they didn't have time to feel depressed. Depression mostly surfaces when people have some time to think about themselves, goals and the like. People who are constantly busy to cover their basic needs almost never suffer from it, and if they do they can't dedicate enough time to pay attention to it.
