@abigpony Okay. In summation, EV is short for Effort Value. EVs are a hidden stat in Pokemon games that affect the growth of a Pokemon's combat stats. A pokemon can have up to 255 EVs in any stat, but no more than 510 in total. For each 4 EVs put into a stat, it will be raised by one point.
