  1. @tiffany Well some countries have a list of approved names, however extensive. Nowadays it's starting to be popular to lift those restrictions but until not long ago in a lot of countries you could get a name rejected when doing the after-birth paperwork. It was mostly so people didn't give kids stupid names or poorly written ones I think. Like you could call a kid "john" but not "shoouhne", nor name the kid "brick". Brazil was one of the exceptions as you could give your kid whatever name you wanted, at most you'd be stopped from naming the kid a swearword if the clerk wasn't a jerk.
