  1. I think YouTube's censorship policy would be way less problematic if it were more consistent. A lot of people just kind of roll the dice on what's gonna get them in trouble. I think YouTube should either a) communicate what qualifies as ad-friendly as directly and transparently as possible, such as releasing a PDF that lists precedents where they have been set, or b) work with MCNs to communicate these guidelines, who can then set up a Standards and Practices department that creators can consult for advice/advanced approval much like a lot of TV networks have.
