  1. fun little character design note: a good character designer can make two vastly different characters who are actually basically the same build. A contemporary example: in Steven Universe, the characters Blue Diamond and Yellow Diamond actually have the exact same body type, proportions, etc. They are built exactly the same way. The difference comes in how the designer reflects their personalities by the more subtle details. YD is harsh, remorseless, and objectively evil. Her lines are straight and her edges are jagged and she always stands upright. BD, on the other hand, cries a lot and hates being alive. There is not a single straight line in her design, because being gay is wrong and gay people are perpetually unhappy.
