Ten year-old Bart Simpson has seen the Presidential administrations of Ronald Reagan, George Bush Sr., Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump. Retconning the date that Homer and Marge started dating to accommodate the never-aging characters absolutely makes sense from a story-telling standpoint. Bart should be 40 by now, but he isn’t.
