Got told at a writer’s workshop yesterday that I can’t put a joke about Michael Jackson’s pet chimpanzee Bubbles in this script because a documentary about Jackson just came out. Sorry, but I’m not gonna let a thirty-years-late Netflix documentary tell me that I’m not allowed to acknowledge that Michael Jackson was a person who existed at one point in time and that he owned a chimpanzee named Bubbles.
