  1. @scribus Linux on laptops is almost always a mistake unless it's a Chromebook in Google's VM. There is too much nonstandard hardware that usually something dumb breaks. I tried overwriting ChromeOS with plain Xubuntu on my Chromebook and there was no sound, suspend didn't work, and if you don't install a special version of Ubuntu (Gallium) the touchpad doesn't work right.
