Oof... It was hard to DM. Haven't done any DM-ing for over a year. Of course I roll extremely poorly and my players have the rolls of their life. I've designed some cool encounters but they have killed it with their strategy and more importantly their luck.
I created a "cheese festival" and the players had to roll cheese wheels on a track against an NPC group, where almost all actions were allowed (except for magically transporting the cheese wheels and killing anyone with certain (like disintegration)). On round 1 a player used a Hypnotic Pattern spell on the NPC group, everybody failed their saves specatularly, and the race was effectively done. Even my attempts using some of the public to wake up the NPC group was undone multiple times and blocked by critical intimidation.
