I carry a Swiss army pocket knife every day in my pocket. Sometimes I have to clean it and oil up the hinges. Still works like it is new, although I'm not very careful. Only the plastic shell havs a lot of visible scratches. Maybe the main blade could be a little bit sharper at the tip. Still good enough for opening boxes.
