@theawesomepinkpony Painful to admit, but probably true. I look older than I am, but...yes. :) Hope that's not too terribly bizarre.

@jinny On the other hand--or hoof, if you will--I've really been enjoying the Halo series. Oddly, I like them for the stories?

@jinny I see, but what my friends where emphasizing to me is that these days, console games sometimes have sort-of-realistic physics for ballistics. I'm a terrible shot, but I do enjoy shooting as a means of relaxation, and part of the appeal for me is getting a feel for the ballistics of a weapon. I...know that sounds weird.

@jinny I'm curious as to what you mean. Would some earlier games be a good introduction?

@theawesomepinkpony Well, I asked one of the tribal elders one day when I was born, and he said, "in the summertime". :) I hope you can forgive me, but it's an area where I'm terribly insecure. Let's just say that the color of my character's mane here is not entirely inappropriate for me.

@galaxy I'm a recent convert myself. Was never really exposed to it before, scarcely aware of it, to tell the truth. A so-called friend introduced me to this sometime last year. Now, well...

@lightningcrash This reminds me a bit of a poem which I can't properly recall. Something along the lines of 'Where are you going, o soldier, with weapons so terrible the world must grow kind or die in its tracks'. I read it years ago, and now you've got me digging through my library to find it again.
