  1. @ponydude2143 I tried moving him to an entirely separate EVENT after the con closes, and I still had someone who I had previously thought was a really nice guy just leave in a huff.

  2. @abigpony Well, if you dislike Manehattan, then obviously I will never see you at BroNYCon. A shame; it's an amazing city.

Tuesday, 27-Dec-11 06:06:56 UTC from web in context
  3. @nerthos It's banned. BroNYCon has no public opinion on the matter. I have no public opinion any more. Please forget I ever said anything.

Tuesday, 27-Dec-11 05:58:01 UTC from web in context
  4. @abigpony You can go into any newsstand in Manehattan and buy porn. Somehow, society hasn't ground to a screeching halt because of it. That's my point.

Tuesday, 27-Dec-11 05:56:01 UTC from web in context
  5. @abigpony Clearly you believe that freedom of expression is something that needs to be hidden behind closed doors, like sex acts or the popping of pimples. You are entitled to that opinion.

  6. @ponydude2143 We don't turn anypony away.

Tuesday, 27-Dec-11 05:50:12 UTC from web in context
  7. @abigpony I want people to be able to read, write, and play what they want. That's all.

  8. @ponydude2143 I... wait, what? You talk about this Biblical 'sin' business like you believe in it.

  9. @abigpony Odd thing; the societies that ban the most books tend to NOT be the most advanced ones. I'm sure they have their reasons, but I certainly don't have to agree with them.

  10. @abigpony If we followed the line of thought which claims that depictions of unwanted activities in literature and art lead to increased instances of said unwanted activities in the real world, we would have to ban most of the great works of literature-- most explicitly including the Bible, which depicts a great deal of killing.

  11. @abigpony I played a lot of Skyrim today. Clearly, I now want to go shout "FOOS" at random people on the streets, then shoot them with a flamethrower. (fire spells FTW!)

  12. @ponydude2143 I'll just never understand why some people get their knickers in a twist about depictions of sexuality. Even depictions of violence are harmless in and of themselves; it's ACTUAL violence that we need to worry about. Many of the same people who are the most virulently opposed to porn are the same people who are most virulently in favour of needless wars.

  13. @mrdragon We're going to. Just got my hooves full at the mo with the run-up to BroNYCon.

  16. @gluestick So not only am I expected to implement decisions I think are ridiculous (like banning porn because some people are terrified of drawings of genitalia), but I'm not even allowed to complain about it? Naah. Sorry. I'm not that much of a politician. I may implement a policy I think is ridiculous, but I'm going to SAY it's ridiculous.

  17. @gluestick We aren't allowing the porn. That does not mean I have to like this sort of censorship.

  18. @ponydude2143 Eeyup.

  21. @gluestick Anything over a PG rating will have to be kept HIDDEN FROM PUBLIC DISPLAY and will only be sold to adults, and must be asked for specifically by said adults. There will be absolutely no public display of anything above a PG rating.

  25. @ceruleanspark It's right by Penn Station. Use Mapquest, Google Maps or hopstop.com (if you're taking the subway). The address is 500 Eighth Avenue, New York, NY.

  26. @cabal Missing the point.

  27. @eaglehooves This seems to be the way "conservatives" operate nowadays; they name things exactly the OPPOSITE of what they should be named. For instance, the PATRIOT act destroyed our Constitutional rights-- the things we SHOULD be "patriotic" about. And this "e-qual-estria" group is about inequality. Very Orwellian.

Friday, 16-Dec-11 19:05:21 UTC from web in context
  28. @eaglehooves The most ridonkulous thing is that they named their group "e-qual-estria". The group's rules deliberately enforce INEQUALITY!
