@jla It's definitely a nice language :) (Tried learning briefly as a finnish alternative since the latter is so muc hharder, eventually went back to finnish)
-
@jla Oh, I see.
-
@jla The other would be Moon Watcher, some really small band releasing exclusively digitally or on cassette. I was unaware Merzbow did this as well, and I haven't heard of any bands either o,o
-
@jla Mi no hablo Finnish.
-
@jla :(
-
@jla I seen that last night. Was impressed someone used Slayer in an ad. :)
-
@jla I was literally WTF-ing at that ad.
-
@jla It's disturbing to know that, even after your death, you will never really be safe from the jerks in this world...
-
@jla not too surprising, all of those languages are the closest to english that I know of, with the exception of finnish(which is very well connected to the former group and has one of the best education systems on the planet)
-
@jla In my defence, most Dutch people are fairly terrible at the English language. Little things like games not being available in our native language, but in German and English most of the time does generally improve your knowledge of said language, as you start to learn early, especially because games are a fun medium for learning, well, anything, really. Therefore, I believe that the fact that we are a fairly small country for which a lot of products don't get translated is the main reason we score high, even though most people I talk to still have a fairly low English skill. At least, in my opinion, and I understand that it may be biased because I barely speak English with foreigners compared to how often I do with other Dutch people (which is, as you may expect, fairly often during English class). Long story short, I'm pretty proud of my country for once.

@jla Maybe something like this can work? http://cistern.bandcamp.com/ (It's not the highest quality, but makes for nice "background noise")
-
@jla floppy drives playing nightmare night.

♻ @tekk: @jla in that case it would be using more resources(less stuttering == bigger cache == more memory used) /cc @omni

You'd better watch it! I spent like a month on it! ;) #campaignvideo #timesinksthatarehopefullyworthit

@cwebber Lemme guess - «My Little Goblin: Decentralization Is Magic™»? :-) #freesoftwarebrony #mylittleGNU

Btw, one of the things people seem to get a kick out of is the appearance of http://ur1.ca/4umg4 in the campaign video http://ur1.ca/aijvp
-
@jla I can try to, assuming I don't forget x.x
-
@jla Ah, I see. Well, Apollo is really great. I guess I could try JUST PLAYER soon and tell you what I think is better on which music player, if you want to know? :P
-
@jla CyanogenMod is a ROM, and a modification of ICS/JB with additional features. There are no minimum requirements, I used it to get ICS and Jellybean on my old Samsung Galaxy Gio, which otherwise only runs Android 2.3.6. I don't think it's completely free software, but many developers put their CyanogenMod sources on a github page, though that is probably not good enough for you :x
-
@jla yes, iirc. I think all the stuff that come with cyanogen is free(except for rom manager, which they're replacing next version)
-
@jla better than apollo?
-
@jla I know, I was just trying to make a bad joke but I'm not funny :(
-
@jla @rainbowmaui You know what, I might add Smultronstället to this list.
-
@jla Well, I must say that's a pretty fair argument... Seeing how Arch runs mostly GNU tools, I think I should consider saying I use GNU/Linux, but I'm not sure yet :x
-
@jla I invested in this one because I have a vested interest in seeing the product make it to market. Namely the fact that I want one or more in my house.
-
@jla It's not really a donation either, because you wouldn't get that back if they didn't make enough. Investment seemed like the best word to represent that proposition at hand.
-
@jla I could really use on of those, but that's kinda steep.
