  4. @stevieboy16 Gantz Graf is cool, but I think Cap.IV from the same EP is one of their best. But my perhaps absolute favourite is older, Montreal.

  11. @sazius I use it for both too! But it doesn't get used much compared to Sparse rss and Podax on my phone.

  16. I've been finally properly watching Kaiji recently instead of the mediocre movies and it really is one of the best in # Almost unbearably tense with always higher stakes.

  17. @ceruleanspark I suppose it depends on what you learn first. ;) I first learned the basic commands in the bash shell and went from there.

  18. @hakupony My upper secondary school is liberal about that, but my vocational school is business oriented and we learned document standards.

  20. @ceruleanspark Vim sucks. It only beeps at you and then you don't know how to quit. (I actually do know how to do that but I need the emergency vi guide for more.)

  21. @hakupony I do use LibreOffice to format to SFS 2487 standard for returning assignments.

  22. @eaglehooves What you do to avoid Emacs pinky is hit the Control keys with your palm, use the left Control for commands on the right and vice versa and hit Alt with your ring finger.

  23. @eaglehooves I'm a student! I don't think I have any classes involving programming at vocational school any more, but I write everything in org-mode.

  24. @cavatina Most programs not available are proprietary anyway and I refuse to use them. And I would always pick a less advanced free program over a more advanced non-free program, I consider technical features irrelevant. But in my case, most of my serious work needs are covered by Emacs, which happens to be cross-platform.

Wednesday, 19-Sep-12 13:02:31 UTC from web in context
  25. @cavatina In this case, I of course mean free as in freedom, not price. And the reasons are ethical.

Wednesday, 19-Sep-12 12:47:02 UTC from web in context
  26. @cavatina It's not irrational from a software freedom perspective.
