@scribble I never played Homefront. The main reason I don't like multiplayer games is balance. Since the times of MU online and Lineage 2, they just tie your hands so you can't be stronger than everyone else. In Lineage 2 for example, you could build up a character, conquer castles, and basically rule over the entire server if you were good enough playing.

@scribble It's because the general FPS market has NO EXPECTATIONS anymore. Planetside 2 and Natural Selection 2 will change that. #

@scribble I simply stay clear of multiplayer FPS. The only ones I kind of like are Nuclear Dawn, for it's commander mode, and Killing Floor, because it's cooperative survival.

@scribble I like graphics, but I don't like them overdone. DMC4 had the perfect balance between detail and realism. "Tech demo" games look overdone to the point at which everything looks fake. I would put those in the following order: Gameplay=story>longevity>graphics>multiplayer; because usually when the companies focus on multiplayer they end up making the single player mode worse.

@scribble Same, which is why i like THPS HD...they got everything as identical to the originals as they can, and then basically removed most of the bugs!, then they made it pretty.

@scribble haha xD

@scribble I have mixed feelings about the whole issue. It's true that better graphics can be nice, but there's at least IMO an era that is better left with the original graphics. Atari to 16-bit games, and PS2+ games are better with newer graphics, but N64 and 2.5D games I find far more immersive than new ones. The last time I really felt kind of scared by a game, my mind being tricked into believing the game to be somewhat real, was with late '90s technology. After that, the graphic beauty just made everything less realistic. I can't get immersed by new games anymore due to graphics. HL2 was the last one that made things look more realistic, instead of overdone.

@scribble They were effortless drivel. I could get the EXACT same experience by emulating them :/. Imagine if Sonic Adventure DX got remade in the Hedgehog Engine!
-
@scribble Only thing the re-released collections have is the game runs at 1080p and has trophies...If they actually remade the games they re-release, i doubt you'd be complaining. I imagine you'd dart at the chance to have Sonic 1-3K remade with HD sprites, but frown at re-releasing the games in an emulato- oh they arleady did that...
-
@scribble Some games did not age well at all, i'm fine with the re-releases as long as they are actual remakes, and not just PS3 collection garbage. THPS HD is my idea of what these re-releases should be, cause it makes the old games accessible to people who never got to play the originals, but it stays true to it's roots. PS2 Collections need to stop being churned out effortlessly though >.<

@scribble You don't HAVE to buy them.

@scribble Agreed there, of all the Microsoft Operating Systems, XP isn't even all that crappy. XP and 7 are currently the two best Microsoft ones in my honest opinion, even though I still don't particularly like Microsoft products.

@scribble The solution is simple, carry a 16GB bootable flash drive.
