Had a date with @jfeulner tonight....
Saturday, 30-Jun-12 04:18:22 UTC from Tara's Lips -
@jfeulner LOOK AT MY GLASSES.
-
@jfeulner I'm so hipster I was being condescending ironically, before it was cool.
-
@jfeulner I was being loud and condescending before it was cool!
-
@jfeulner A'MEN!
-
@jfeulner Out of bread. Going to Subway!
-
@jfeulner My debt was miniscule though, like 24.90 dollars (American) so I don't really feel accomplished in paying it off.
-
@jfeulner well I payed off dept (when you hear what debt i payed off it isn't that exciting) And I found out my good friend from Kansas Is personally taking a 36 hour Train ride to Boston , then driving to My hometown in order to meet up with me
-
@jfeulner How are you this evening?
-
@jfeulner Pretty damn good.
-
@jfeulner Have a good one!
-
@jfeulner I once walked away from a freelance programming gig. The guy had spent 10 years and changed OS twice, language at least 4, maybe 5 times, had countless different people working on it - all to develop a grammar check program with the intent of charging school districts to grade essays. There was absolutely not a single page of documentation.
-
@jfeulner It's pretty major in programming, too.
-
@jfeulner As someone who ended up finding the solution to a week long networking issue in a weatherproof box on the roof that nobody had told me about, I'd be inclined to agree.
-
@jfeulner I documented the crap out of everything I did on that server, so my documents will just serve as a map for me rebuilding it. It's just running on an old never-used desktop at the moment anyway, so there's no reason barring catastrophic hardware failure for anything to happen to it.
-
@jfeulner My Nagios machine isn't properly backed up either, I admit, but aside from the fact that I use it all the time, it's not a major asset or anything. No one other than me even knows what it does, so it wouldn't be missed if it was out for a few days being rebuilt.
-
@jfeulner Almost nothing. I've only been up a few minutes so far, so nothing happened yet. You?
-
@jfeulner Have fun with that! :p
-
@jfeulner Okay, I understood "G'night," so... Sleep well!
-
@jfeulner Ah sweet, ponies will be like the spice of your presentation. ^^ Just enough spice to make it nice. xD
-
@jfeulner Yeah, it should be rad. ^^
-
@jfeulner This will be interesting. xD
-
@jfeulner Goodnight!
-
@jfeulner Yeah, the standard Nagios core implementation is basically "Here you go. Have fun with this." You can do a lot with it, but you've gotta do absolutely everything yourself.
-
@jfeulner Maybe I'm missing something here, but isn't Nagios already open source? I use Nagios for work, so if the configs are at all similar, I might be able to help you out if you need any assistance.
-
@jfeulner What are you using for monitoring there?
-
@jfeulner Shame you picked the wrong one.
-
@jfeulner A perfectly reasonable reason. :)
-
@jfeulner Then how come Fluttershy's the one on your shoulder, huh? :p Nah, just kidding. Hiya!
-
@jfeulner You seem to have confused your ponies. You obviously Ment to say Pinkie Pie.
