As a lapsed furry, I know how important those are to the people who have them. As for people making fun of your OC, I'm overhauling the ruleset literally as we speak to try and encourage people around here to be kinder. PS, Lannie is actually adorable.

@sjart117 Rarity is probably my favorite EqG character design. Maybe because her color scheme seems more familiar for a human.
