Ever since my #upgrade to #Debian 10 / #buster, I've had problems with #Epiphany crashing and my home filesystem getting intermittently (and seemingly randomly) low on space. I think I just solved both problems by disabling the #Google Safe Browsing feature, "Try to block dangerous websites":

!TIL: You can of course use nginx 1.14 from #Debian but you will still have no TLSv1.3 because of OpenSSL: https://blobfolio.com/2018/07/enable-tls-1-3-in-nginx-on-debian-stretch/ (or you make your own build, and I even could, but … no, I don't want to.)

With the sudden realization that #Enigmail has been able to decrypt #email permanently upon reception for the last 3 years, I'm excited about using #PGP #crypto w/ #Enigmail again! But, oh, just in time for me #Mozilla broke Enigmail in #Debian: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=909000 #ugh

Be warned upgrading udisks2 to version 2.7.x on Debian. It took me painfully long to realize that it was the culprit of my misery. It provoked that my system was extremely slow on opening my file browser, file dialogs, and anything file system related. It took literally 5 minutes to open a stupid file dialog because of this. #debian #linux

!TIL: In order to use an HP LaserJet P1005 in #debian I need to use systemd (which I have pinned for good reasons), because I need to install hplip-gui which requires systemd. So, if I want to use this printer, I have to change to a Linux distro (or another unixoid system) that does not depend on systemd. Debian, you're just dying for me.

Looks like there's a bug in the #debian runit-init package that might cause it to be removed in Stretch: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=861536

@neimzr4luzerz from Stallman's comments there, it seems the #OpenBSD issue is basically the same as the #Debian issue, nonfree repos

@jookia Had #Debian used #linux-libre from day 1, maybe that could have been a chance for #FSF and #Debian to meet in the middle? Who knows
