  2. That #'s # metrics (supposedly) propagate through signature-chains is somehow basically an extremely popular #; "talks about WoT being all about arbitrarily-long multi-hop chains of trust" and "conflates # and # #" have been "understands-pgp-p" litmus tests for me since I realized how confused *I was myself* years ago, and they've never failed before.

  5. I'm working on a blogpost to explain the federated timeline, user accounts and idea of multiple identities and I could use some quotes and examples from longtime Mastodon/GNUSocial users. When you have an account on multiple instances, why do you do that?
How do you manage these accounts and logins? Is Mastodon thé solution for your identities?

You don't have to name the accounts and you can always DM me if you want to stay anonymous.

  7. I'm just wondering if service providers should be allowed to request copy of government issued official # (ID) like passport, before granting user access? I personally find that offending. No, I don't have anything to hide. But it still bugs me. Any thoughts in this group about this kind of practice? In some cases that could also invade privacy, if the user has selected to use pseudonym on purpose. # # # # #

That voice recognition fingerprinting clearly wasn't nearly tight enough. But who knows that kind of fingerprinting algorithm they used.

  16. I have come across more trans-folk in the half year I've been a brony than I had met in my previous 22 years of life. (A grand total of zero.) Do you think that's because we're an accepting community and people who would otherwise be in the closet feel safe to come out here, or because the things that make a brony tend to occur at a higher frequency in trans-people? # # #
