@yuri In my mind, being alive is defined as having an intelligence, either small like a cell's primary instincts or massive like a humans.

@yuri It actually much simpler than that, if you enjoy the sound, it's music; if you don't, it's just noise.
-
@yuri it could be considered a relaxing tone for some hence it is music to them. anything that sounds or feels good could be considered music to ones ears
-
@yuri By the person listening to it. It's subjective. What sounds rhythmic to one might sound random to another if the rhythm is odd. (I know that, personally, I hear a lot of rhythms where there shouldn't even be any.)

@yuri I wouldn't say "constant". As long as a rhythm can be identified enough to be predicted, I'd consider it rhythmic.

@yuri Yes, like a beat.

@yuri I wouldn't call _all_ sound rhythmic. If there's an identifiable sequence of timing, then yes, it's rhythmic. A sound such as that made by bubble wrap when you twist it to the point of popping? I wouldn't call that rhythmic.

@yuri With an open mind, any sound with a constant rhythm can be considered music. I suppose you could specify further and say "rhythmic sound that express emotion is music", though. Actually, that might be a better way to put it.

@yuri everyone has their music preference. I'm mostly into metal/rock, Techno, Classic, and Drum & Bass
-
@yuri Said property is rhythm.
-
@yuri I'm not sure whether you're defining music or songs. I'm talking about the former. If you're talking about the latter, I apologize.
-
@yuri this is also an awesome song even tho it has dubstep in it. this is probably the only dubstep song I like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RTlB8Hmcw0

@yuri That's a rather narrow outlook, though. Just because the majority see music in pieces does not mean music only exists in pieces. Music, as an abstract concept, is not an outlined script of sound, but merely rhythm contained within sound.

@yuri But if you change music to different music, it's still music. It's not the same piece, but it hasn't turned into a different thing.
