@zennx wait. your first point it that people are garbage compared to the people aren't. So your real argument is that SOME people are garbage, which is a different thing entirely. You can't claim that humanity as a whole is bad because it contains bad elements. All throughout history there have been good people among bad who have done great things, and humanity as a whole has advanced, so if the bad didn't stop the good all the time back then why should it start to now? and I'm not arguing the genetics of lion cubs, merely providing it as an alternative communal behaviour, one which would be considered barbaric in our society, yet which you seem to be seeing as preferable.

@zennx so you claim to have seen enough of humanity in your lifespan to be able to collectively judge everyone in it? and judge against what? humans are garbage compared to what alternative? it's impossible to know how things would have been if our species had never existed, so all we have to compare humanity to it itself, whether idealised or absent. and, of course, you don't realise that the lion who lost his pride might have been weak only due to increasing age, and may have had many strong cubs in his lifetime before age caught up with him, allowing a younger male to take his place.

@zennx ah, I see, because valuing a person you've never met as garbage is perfectly fine because, as we all know; all people are the same. There aren't people who give to others on a daily basis or work hard to support their families or anything like that, yeah, that's a good system to have. Much rather we were all lions, who kill children who aren't their own to give their own offspring a greater chance of survival. That would be a much better way for the world to go.

@zennx interesting how your logic places a mistreated kitten higher in importance than a mistreated person, blackmailing can be pretty traumatic. I'm not saying any decisions should be made without thought, just that 'blackmail or bust' is a bit defeatist, even in a joking way

@zennx Hahaha, awesome. My roommate has a chinese water dragon and his girlfriend keeps a crested gecko here as well. The dragon is content sitting around for a while before randomly darting off, but the gecko tries to get to the highest point he can...and fails miserably. Hasn't quite gotten the hang of climbing yet :p
