  1. Spent the last few days cleaning up my cellar. https://i.imgur.com/SdJfZVj.jpeg I bought some wall-mounted shelves for all the mid-size items that are too small for the big shelves and too big for the drawers. The drawers have mostly small parts like screws, bolts, and small tools, all neatly organized in 3d-printed bins. I put a countertop on the three containers to make this a small electronics workbench. The small parts organizers on top of the workbench have all my micro-controller stuff.

  2. Yesterday, when I was starting a 3d-printing job, I was wondering why there was a funny plastic-y smell and why it took so long for the heat bed to heat up. A quite toasty surprise https://i.imgur.com/2O2CJsk.jpeg

  5. I'm realizing that I need more upbeat and funky music. My MP3 player is full of orchestral soundtracks. I like them for sure but it's quite one-sided right now. Something with high energy like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRlcs7MI0uY&list=OLAK5uy_nq91NTOs3Pj9IdQOWyE_iVM_sPhqZVVAE&index=13

  6. @zeldatra In the Kaito Files DLC he has socks on when he enters the Doctor's home. https://youtu.be/gAqdA1D9YJM?t=11438 I believe that they are socks and not shoes. They are very dark and featureless.

  7. I guess I listened too much Final Fantasy music recently. On youtube I found amazing Japanese people who play incredibly well on an electric organ called "electone". Like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_-HKoUO9ow and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cvF6OvobbA and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWqOo6kPuJY

  8. Bought a new wrist watch. It isn't my ideal watch but it is half-way there. Doesn't have solar, the layout of the face could be slightly different, and the seconds are a little bit too close to the minutes and are a little bit too big without them having a sufficient gap to the minutes. Also the day of the week could be smaller. At least it isn't looking like some designer puked all the wrist with a design for the sake of being obnoxiously different. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71mW5ngdqdL._AC_SX425_.jpg

  14. Modeled and 3d-printed myself some magnetic cable ties https://i.imgur.com/UFqgqBa.jpeg I want to use them to manage my cables under my desk. My go-to one will be the one on the left that can be attached around the corner of a square metal tube. The ones on my desk are very slim so the flat one has barely any surface to hang to.

  15. @scribus I think we live on a planet similar to Frogstar from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy https://hitchhikers.fandom.com/wiki/Frogstar_World_B Instead of shoes it's office chairs. I've never had an office chair that was of sufficient quality. Even my current one had the problem that its cushioning was almost nonexistent after half a year.
Before I buy a car seat I try to repair the cushions by stuffing a gel or silicone pillow into, anything that survives long butt-to-cushion interactions. I already have a silicone pillow that I put on top but it tends to slide off more times I can tolerate.

  18. I bought the graphic novel "The New Girl" by Cassandra Calin https://www.amazon.com/New-Girl-Graphic-Novel/dp/1338762451/ . I know her art from her webcomic https://tapas.io/series/CassandraComics/info . Good thing I had French in school as it spared me to look up the "translations" on the back. I mean it was very loosely translated to match the approximate meaning at the time when it was spoken. It lacked some nuance and further definition. I don't want to bash that, just noting.
For all it's worth it is a great book. I was greatly entertained although I am not a 12 year old Romanian girl suffering menstrual cramps and having a crush on a boy. I mean despite of all I can empathize with her very well despite me being a straight man. It impressed me that for its price it's fully colored and being full of detail in every panel.

  24. @scribus Hmm.... Fatty fish. Eating fish skin is often icky, especially when they aren't cleaned very well from the scales. I for one like eating Soused Herring, also known here as "Matjes" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soused_herring). They are certainly always with skin. In my past I had carp with skin on Christmas and it was always a gamble if there was a scale or not. If I got one the eating experience gets 100 times worse when there is a hard and unexpected crunchy object slicing the tongue. I'm exaggerating a little bit but it ain't fun.

  29. I'm 3d-printing myself a grid inlay for a new box I acquired for my miniature paints. With this grid inlay I can insert compatible tiles that won't shift when the box is moved. I want to print this https://www.printables.com/model/638320-parametric-gridfinity-paint-rack for all my Army Painter paints and generic open boxes for my brushes and other random stuff. I could print specific containers for a few things but it'd be overkill.
