@mushi What kind of farm animals do you have in Brazil ? ... Or other huggable animals...
And, well, spiders can count if you really want to I guess. -
Yes I actually told someone to go belittle a wild yellow feral fruit...
In other news, I think it is time for me to go to bed, my imagination has already left the station for dreamland it seems.Thursday, 18-Feb-16 23:53:56 UTC from web -
@mushi Go take a walk, poke a tree, belittle a wild banana, hug a cow, take a shower.
Believe me, I have been in that proverbial well you are in right now, and though you probably wanna wade in it some longer. My advice, Don't -
@mushi I started on that, but could not get over the fact that it was a Dutch translation ( and a horrid one at that ). The story seemed to have a lot of potential but I gave the book away, I sort of regret that now. I might just get me an English translation one of these days.

@nerthos Oh, right. In short a bunch of feminists tried to get the word "Bossy" to be banned because they say it is bad for the young unfluential mind. "Young girls are afraid to step up because they are afraid to be called bossy" was the main rhetoric.
As such they got a bunch of very influential woman to speak out against that word.
Which seemed a bit disingenuous if not completely bonkers.
Then they made that video and started a viral-wannabe-spread on facebook, twitter, youtube, neogaf and kotaku.
Which many people straight out ignored except maybe a handfull who tried to spoonfeed it to everyone, untill this ( pretty much hilarious ) video put a nail in the coffin of that thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVKyesBzDAs ( I find this a funny video ) -
@nerthos What is your opinion on BanBossy then ? ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dynbzMlCcw ) . People were certainly calling that SJW-something, but I do not see them as "sabotaging themselves by behaving as villains" but instead I see them suffering from a horrible ideology. Also the Irony regarding having bossy influencefull/powerfull people trying to ban the word bossy, that is sort of really bossy behaviour. I think there would be a way better B word that could have been banned come to think of it.
-
@nerthos Does your ability to get something done factor in into becoming a SJW ? Because if it does then we probably would have to jump right into the "does a trending hashtag on twitter/facebook count as getting something done ?" discussion
-
@nerthos ... Hitler comes to mind somehow
-
@mushi Aww, getting screwed over by a system like that deserves my sympathy, if not a hug. But I think you are secretly glad that my arms are not trans-continental.
-
@nerthos Then I think I am having trouble saying whom are SJW's and whom are not.
-
@nerthos There is not "one SJW to rule them all" though. Seems that there is one for every aspect of whatever one could possibly see as inequality. Gender ? Race ? Android or Apple ? Prefer to pee standing ? Heck even the way you hang your toilet roll could possibly be attacked/defended/overzealousified by a SJW.
... Question is, are we not all our own SJW and/or fanboy to the point where the lines blur ? It's probably the zeal of a person in the persuit and/or enforcement of this.
Soo... Saruman is a SJW because almost everyone agrees that what he did is bad.
And Dr Doom is a overzealous fanboy because you can probably find a lot of people in Lateveria who are happy with him ? -
@nerthos ... Yeah I know, probably very close to the SJW "type" but does not quite beat Dr Doom
-
@colfax Probably... Still gonna tempt time, fate, and/or destiny to see if I ever end up in Canada, USA, or Mexico before I attempt that proxy method. Untill then I hope I will get lucky at conventions and perhaps e-bay or Chinese knockoffs
-
@nerthos Interesting that you would go with Saruman. Here have an outtake from a certain comic, care to guess what supervillain passed "the test" ? http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/833064
-
@colfax Hmm, I can order through Germany. But they have like only 25% of the catalogus of the USA's store.

Still it boosts up the magical number to about 20 -
@adiwan You can ? *tries it*
I learned 2 things today, firstly I have so much tabs open that it obscures the speaker symbol on the tab. And that this is not Firefox. -
@colfax The Netherlands, Europe. Probably the Faroe islands in a couple of days, depending on the seas and how fast the captain can get replacement parts. And then back again in maybe 2 months.
-
@nerthos I have this custom printed on a T-shirt. Turns out that noone can. I can explain it with 1 word though.
"Self-righteousness" -
@colfax I'm pretty sure that with import tax and all that good stuff ( even if I used a proxy ) It'd be just as expensive as getting myself a 1080GTX ... The only question is howmuch of them equals 1 terribly expensive future-tech graphical card, my guess ? about 6
-
@awl Ofcourse, when you cross-race something you have to take that into account... a bear blowing bubbles, now that is crazy
( kudo's to the artist that made this ) -
@colfax Not what I was expecting, but the want has been doubled nontheless.
-
Hmm... Derpy Bear... I like :) http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/833060
-
@colfax I've probably been out of the loop too much to understand some of what you just said. Build-a-bear Ditzy ? I think I have to imagine some sort of custom-plushie-factory production ? Got pictures ?
-
@colfax I wish you a very bestest birthday
-
@ceruleanspark I thought the Occulus Rift simply had HDMI 1.4 ?
-
@ceruleanspark All of my ritualistic sacrifices go by 12K dialup modem... and a pony does not have any sort of compatible interface
-
@ceruleanspark Do you buy new monitors everytime you get a new graphical card ? Don't let my 2006 TFT WUXGA monitor hear this.
-
@adiwan And an Occulus Rift would require a beastly machine which does not come free either.
Also, that is a little bit beside the point. I mean I am not planning to buy either one... for now at least -
Today I looked up the costs of getting an Occulus Rift.
Today I found out that the local riding school is having a pony for sale
Guess which one would cost me more money.
( spoiler : It's not the one with 4 legs ) -
@mrmattimation That's a relief though. Zombie games are so passe.
