"I don't have a problem, YOU have a problem !" - person with a problem
Sometimes, like today, I wonder why I got out of bed in the morning.
Oh right, because I do not have a bar at my bed, yet.
Long story short, someone HEAVILY disagreed with me that May the Fourth should not become a national holiday. If there is any movie inspired date that they should make into a holiday it should be called 'Future Day' on October 21st. Also make it a bad omen not to see a Delorean on that date or something.Sunday, 05-May-19 20:35:41 UTC from web -
Scared myself awake, sudden deep intake of breath, nightsweats, the works. A really bad nightmare is what caused it. A really weird one too, I only remember being a supporter of some faceless politician or something and 'it' screamed at the fanbase "You guys, I swear, if I do not win I am going to dab on all of you"... And then I woke up.

@adiwan Ohh, I really like that.
But ehh, I am about 90% convinced that there is no IR on this here RC.
I'mma check that the next time my camera is charged. ( since the equine eye can not see the infrared, but camera's can. ) -
@adiwan It's rubbery, it goes on top like a mat, it contains little black 'feet' that make the connection on the PCB happen.
That mat thing is damaged and causes the 'button' to sometimes misallign, or worse, causes the button to run away and I have to go clean my room to find it. -
Hmm, one of these buttons of this remote control has started to come loose. I already did check and I can buy a new RC for 50 Euro's.
But do I get it for the sake of my TV ? Or do I just install that android app and be done with it. Leaving my RC in a drawer somewhere for when I really need it ( which is not that often to begin with anyway ) -
I am going to call that number right now and ask why AVG always needs to send me an alarm, which is usually just an update or a 'special deal if you act right now'(™), whenever I slay an Orc or Uruk-hai in a game
Update : Nice fellow, offered me many deals and special promotions. Also I got to brush up on my Hindi.Thursday, 02-May-19 11:10:54 UTC from web -
TIL : A conversation with someone IRL who does not understand why you play video games is just as hard and soul-crushing (For they just do not seem to 'get it') as having a conversation with someone IRL who wants complain about having an easy-mode in every game they want to play (Again, for they just do not seem to 'get it')
I might as well have had the same discussions about the lack of a pony-mode in Skyrim.
Actually that gives me an idea for the next time something stupid like this happens.Wednesday, 01-May-19 18:15:54 UTC from web -
@adiwan Lets just say that everyone who has a deck (either store bought or assembled from card tradeing websites) is going to whoop my ass when I show up with my deck that I scraped together with the stuff that I collected over the years.
Also, 150$ for essentially 100 cards is not that much considering that some top-tier decks are worth way over a thousand.
Also the price is bound to go only up. Unless if the hobby crashes. -
Option 1 : pay some 150 Dollars for some cards I want for a TCG.
Option 2 : I could scourge every shop I know that has those cards and browse their collector maps until I find what I want to have, probably still have to pay a lot, but I probably get to meet a truckload of new people who also like that TCG, and if I actually use my bicycle I might lose some body weight.
... Why is choosing this obvious thing so hard ? -
@scribus How does that differ from what I got RN ?
-
Sooo... Does anyone know where to order a blazilion liters of bleach on the quick?
I need to drink ALL of it. I gots the thirst.
I saw the Sonic trailer -
@scribus Level of investment?
Every once in a while I try to watch one of those MCU movies as I really loved the comics. I randomly picked one like a week ago and saw The Incredible Hulk, huge mistake. Truth is that they constantly seem to be mudding up a memory of something I love somehow, leaving loose ends for the fans to figure out, but they do this so blatantly that they might as well have flashy lights pointing out 'look at this sheeple movie-goers, this will be important later'. That or just making a reference for the comic fans. Purple Pants in The Incredible Hulk for instance.
So in short, the entire MCU is like fanfiction, but fanfiction that is self-aware and on dad-levels of meta.
Then why do I watch it? Well I like the universe, I like the superheroes.
Do I hate myself for watching these movies when I know they can not possibly be really enjoyable for me? I do not know T_T. Just gonna wait for the exception I think. I mean Blade was a proper homage for starters. -
@scribus Any reason why I want to see it in the cinema ? Instead of a home-cinema where I both have my hooves on the controls and am perfectly capable of throwing beercans, hopefully empty ones, at inconsiderate people.

I found my favorite Thanos comic page. http://rainbowdash.net/url/874330

@adiwan Not to burst your ink-bubble but the lower ranks of Splatoon are filled with 13 year olds. Oh and yes you are ranked even if you play unranked.
If you were to play about 2 rounds per day you missed since released with a 90% win-rating you would have made up for about half of every missed splat-fest that the match-AI seems to award points for.
That is about 1296 matches, and then you should be in your very own ELO-Hell. Well about that number anyway. -
@mrmattimation He is the purple big guy from the comics.
There are movies of him too now ? -
@adiwan Considering there was some sort of event going on yesterday, I can relate staying up some 22 hours straight and how it can numb the feeling of enthusiasm of, well, everything I guess.
Meanwhile this thing plays at the back of my mind http://rainbowdash.net/url/874327
Stupid pattern seeking cranial matter. -
@adiwan I can only assume that you going to bed straight after watching it speaks to how mindblowingly good ( or not ) it was.
-
@scribus Sitting behind a wheel when it is kinda hot & breathing dry air & constantly readjusting the buss's heading by whatever means is a hell of a more active engagement than just kicking back & passively relaxing.
I think some guy did a whole scientific test on this with actual bus drivers. I hope I can remember the name of the author so I can link it. -
@thelastgherkin A fine vintage #tigerblood #winning

@mrmattimation The moment you get into politics is the moment you stop abiding with whatever you personally thought was 'normal' to begin with. The way you put on your shoes, the way you drink your milk, the way you make your bed, the way you wear your tophat. Politicians do this until they traded in everything that made them 'normal' for something that made them either 'woke' or 'a politician'
TL;DR politicians are not normal, especially those at the top who have been one for a while. -
@scribus I have been an athlete all along.
-
@nerthos Ohh, you are talking mental and physical fortitude to walk the route from A to B. Such as grain to bread if you have nothing but grain, lumber, stone and clayish mud. In which the walking the walk is the important part.
-
@scribus Does this thing count http://rainbowdash.net/url/874315 ( Wikipedia photo )

@bellelovespike Welcome to the dashiest place on the web. I see your @ [name] thingie and that is adorable.

@adiwan Well, they are not the only ones on my long short-list of bad companies that I wish death upon.
Bethesda, Activision-Blizzard, Sony, Pachinkonami, Take-Two Interactive.
Most surprisingly is that Epic games is not on that list, but mostly because I have no idea what the long term effects will be on the digital game-storefronts.
Steam does not seem to care that Epic seems to lure developers away with no tact to it whatsoever. If the store wants to take off it should lure customers and not developers in my honest opinion. And then people like Randy Pitchford goes on a Tweet-Rampage on how developers will choose the future of gaming and not the customers.
I mean...aaaaaah... I am so close to a rant of proportion that makes Jason Shreier's article on why Anthem failed look like a tabloid article by comparison
Wheeze, wheeze, wheeze
But please for the love of all things tasty, if things do not work any way preferable, let those games be the most pirated thing on the web.
