@ceruleanspark The way I see it, if you aren't trying to push the belief on other people and the belief isn't doing any harm, and you're still able to recognize that it's not really reality, then there's no reason why it must be abandoned. Especially if it helps you through the day.

Oh. Nevermind. I go to do a transaction for anything that's not an Android app and it says my debit card is an "unsupported payment method". I guess that means they're just teasing me with the damn things.

@neurario For example, if you want to process Mastercard payments, you'd need a merchant account with Mastercard.

@neurario It doesn't matter what nationality it is; even inside the US you still need a merchant account and they are still prohibitively expensive for most people.

@toksyuryel What I was attempting to say was that most surveys seem to be done for the sake of doing them, rather than "I should survey the fandom to see if they'd support project Y" type surveys.

Whilst I enjoyed the joke and spent most of yesterday laughing and reversing entropy with the Social-Justice-Brigades tears, he'd clearly have been way better off not making any statement whatsoever on Janes apparent skin color. They were gonna work themselves into a frenzy either way.

I don't get how speedrunning RPGs is a thing. It just... doesn't seem like it'd be as entertaining as, say, a platformer or an FPS would be.

@redenchilada I will say that RPGs as a whole tend to have trouble holding my interest. That probably affects my enjoyment of the speedruns.

@toksyuryel I know of one CT TAS that abuses glitches, so that'd fit under the category I consider entertaining. (I like seeing things broken c: Only reason I watched four and a half hours of Wind Waker.)

Seriously, this stream has been on FF9 for two hours and large chunks of time are mashing the X button to advance the text. It's kind of really really boring.

@redenchilada Interesting thing about FF9 is the game actually gives you a reward for speedrunning it. There's a sword you can only get if you reach the final area before a certain amount of time.
