@m14brony Isn't COBRA just the worst? Might even be bigger assholes than the GI Joe villains!
-
In the meantime, I did find some affordable short-term insurance (only covers serious injuries and medical procedures), as using the COBRA option on my current insurance woukd cost enough to be a rent payment.
-
It's irritating that my new job will require me to be employed for 90 days before I am eligible for their health insurance.

@rarity It looks like more fun than the original! :P

Why didn't I think of making something like this?

Although speaking of traveling, I do need to get out and do more of it. Hopefully I will have some downtime and spare cash in the future to do as such when I am not on call.

@metaltao Nope. I was at the "old" Mexico south of the US border. ;)
-
I didn't travel anywhere, but I will be starting a new job as an HVAC service technician in less than a month. :)

@metaltao That sounds interesting. Oddly, I haven't been to Chicago (but I have been as far away as Mexico City :P ).
-
@rarity Yay. :)
-
@metaltao How were things in Chicago?
-
@northernnarwhal I use cute nail polish instead. :)

@derpyhooves Good morning.

Dammit. I ordered some 9X19mm magazines for my EAA Witness and I ended up with .40 S&W magazines instead. :(

@mrdee I enjoyed doing HVAC work in the technical college's lab; I am sure I will enjoy doing it for a living. :)
-
@mrdee I'm not too far from the two largest cities in the US state of Minnesota.
-
@mushi I see. I would have dealt with those complications if I went back for law school, especially as a nontraditional student in his late 20's. Hopefully your coursework will eventually be less hectic.
-
@mrdee It is an issue around where I live. For instance, some of my classmates had friends that graduated form law school (and passed the bar exam) that weren't able to find relevant jobs. Not to mention that even if there were jobs available, I would be highly selective about how I would work as an attorney (my interest was in representing employees that were subject to illegal workplace discrimination, not defending a criminal that I knew to be guilty).
-
@mushi Fortunately, time availability isn't an issue for me. I will be dealing with a temporary wage cut, as I am starting at the beginning of the "wage ladder" somewhere else. However, I should be able to make up for this temporary cut by taking overtime. Not to mention that I will end up getting paid much more than I am now in the long run.
